Fake

just get to hear another issue about

fake personality or double-headed snake, a nicer word: hypocritical

in chinese, i think it's referred to

虚伪/虚假/伪装/两头蛇 /表里不一

i guess it's quite a common thing now, especially when we are growing older


in primary school, who cares about your personality? innocent is the best armor
during high school, people begin to understand the terms "power" and "relationship"
pre-u and uni life, people starts to have different approach to link the two terms
working life is the most horrible period when those approaches, after being tested and modified, are used to harm others without consciously knowing it

all this happens just because of the initial reinforcement they had and to protect themselves from being executed
reinforcement here means the pleasure, satisfaction, success-fulness they felt or even the security they sensed
but of course, not everyone have such personality and not everyone purposely fake it or fake to harm people
some do it just because they do not want to hurt others!
i know some of us are, in some situation =) we shall call it pretending instead of faking
a slightly more neutral term makes a difference!
